Hey! I am Katherine Bretcko.
I am a wife, doggy momma, kindergarten teacher, and coach. I am so happy you are here! I would love to tell you about
myself.
I have never considered myself a highly trained athlete. Yes, growing up I was a dancer until I
switched to basketball and then joined the marching band. I was active and moving but I never felt like
an “athlete.” I never really watched what I was eating. BUT I was the world’s pickiest eater, please
ask my friends and family. They would
likely narrow down my lists of foods to enough to name on two hands. In
college, I worked out here and there when I felt motivated. I did not gain the
freshman 15, but I certainly did not lose them either. I just ate what the cafeteria and school had
to offer, which included pizza hut on my meal plan --> a bonus for the
pizza-lover in me.
During college I started dating my now husband. We met freshman year and stayed strong
through college and are now happily married.
My husband is amazing and I could not love him anymore, but he is one of
those men who can eat and eat and eat and NEVER gain weight. We went to many, many meals together in
college and this continued on as we dated, finished college, and foraged into
adulthood.
Flash forward to our engagement and when my health and
fitness journey got started! After getting engaged I knew my family would be
trying to get in shape for the wedding and I couldn't be left out. I started out on my own and had some success. I was pleased with my progress by wedding
time, but things weren't perfect. I was
craving more success and I had really plateaued.
Shortly after the wedding one of my high school friends
reach out to me about joining her challenge group. And this is when everything CLICKED for me! I
had gotten into a great routine on my own of having a workout every day and
thought I was eating much better until the 21 day fix got me whipped into
shape. I was extremely hesitant at first
to join this group because all my life I had been labeled as the “picky eater”
and I was not sure I could do it. However, I jumped in and went for it and haven’t
looked back since. This former “picky
eater” is now a clean eater!! I was
finally able to get those stubborn pounds off that had been taunting me post
wedding. The cleaning eating was the
missing piece to my puzzle.
It was right after my first challenge group that I felt the
need to help others feel as great as I did.
In that group I was getting so much love and support from other
wonderful ladies like myself that I KNEW I wanted to help others feel the same
way. So I decided to jump in again and
become a coach. I want to help others
who struggle with weight loss and who want to learn about a healthy
lifestyle.
I love working with children and inspiring them to love
learning. However, I also love inspiring
a whole different crowd as they start or continue on their health and fitness
journey. Helping people, of all ages, is
my calling and I am so happy to help people of all ages achieve their
goals.
